Vineyard itself is a unique sight for Thailand – Thai climate doesn’t suit grapes. Nevertheless, here it is: not only a sight for Thais, but a nice place that attracts tourists –beautiful landscape, neat territory and Italian-style buildings.
12 species of grapes are cultivated in Silverlake vineyard to make the all-year round production – they do grow both wine and table grapes varieties.

By free entrance I mean that only a part of vineyard’s territory can be visited for free. In my opinion that’s enough – reservoir with grape-covered slopes is visible from terrace of main building. But one can also take a tour around Silverlake, prices valid for 2019:
- 180 THB (child = 140 THB) – electric bus ride in vineyard and garden with several stops + 1 bottle of grape juice. Duration 30-45 min.
- 250 THB – the same as listed above + visit to winery + 2 glasses of wine. Duration 45-60 min.
It seems that in Silverlake’s shop you may buy all the products one can ever produce from grapes, from juice and wine to cookies filled with grapes jam.
Silverlake vineyard was established in 2002 – trip to the USA inspired Thai actress Supansa Nuangpirom to create a vineyard at home. Her husband, Surachai Tangjaitrong owned 160 ha of land in picturesque place. Tourist traffic in neighboring Pattaya was a big reason to agree with her. So they combined 2 passions – good wine & music in beautiful garden: from time to time open-air music events are held there (like festival of rock, jazz etc). By the way the winemaker of Silverlake is Australian.
