Wat Sutthawat (วัดสุทธาวาส)

Wat Sutthawat is located to the east of Sukhumvit highway – the area with a lack of tourists despite of being not that far from city centre. It means that one can walk around the temple in silence. Wat Sutthawat was erected in 1925.
There’s a cannonball tree (Couroupita guianensis) growing on temple’s territory. It bears big (up to 25 cm) spherical fruit with woody shell – the reason for the name. And such big fragrant flowers grow in clusters located right on the trunk:
